OUR STORY BEGINS IN 1824

Through droughts, fires and flooding rains, our grit has paid off season after season. Back in the early days, our stations defined the frontier between coast and desert. ​The 1824 herd are born wild, free to range on vast native pastures in Australia’s great Northern cattle country. It’s the kind of place that’ll render you speechless. ​

1824 is what you get from almost two centuries of craftsmanship and we don’t throw that word around often. This is real, primal meat. Herds that’ve been honed for generations with proven techniques and a knowing hand to thrive on the Australian range.

While times may have changed, the people who steward the land still have the same swagger and heart they’ve had for generations.​ This is where the kids grow up, where bets are made, and wagers won. Where jackaroos and jillaroos learn the ropes, chase their first cow and make their name. Throw one on the grill and you’ll be rewarded with a perfect meat – every time.​

It’s our heritage, dedicated to quality beef for almost 2 centuries. It’s the original branded meat. The care and passion of our people. Pride in our country, working hard, and playing hard. The home of Australian meat. ​ ​ All in the pursuit of better meat. 1824.

OUR STATIONS

Northern Australia is home to our 1824 herd. Across our vast and expansive territories, spread across 15 stations in Queensland and Northern Territory, our knowledgeable cattlemen and women skilfully nurture and tend to our cattle. A meticulous artistry that is a true testament to our craftsmanship over the past 200 years.
